Stretch is an absolute jewel
in the Crown of British Rock ‘n’ Roll.
They scored a top twenty hit with the sensational single ‘Why Did You Do
It?’ featured in the award-winning movie Lock Stock and Two Smoking
Barrels.
Elmer is also famous for his work with Elmer Gantry’s Velvet Opera and in the controversial rock musical Hair.
Kirby is a former member of Curved Air.
Elmer and Kirby have also collaborated with Danny Kirwan, The Alan Parsons Project, Cozy Powell, Jon Lord, David Essex, Joan Armatrading, Graham Bonnett and Gloria Mundi.
Stretch comprises original members Elmer Gantry, Kirby and drummer Jeff Rich of Status Quo plus Jim Scadding on bass.
Their live set includes the hit singles ‘Why Did You Do It?’ and ‘That’s the Way the Wind Blows’ as well as tributes such as Rick Derringer’s ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Hoochie Coo’ and Johnny Winter’s ‘Can You Feel It?’
